The Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA)
The Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) is a sub-regional intergovernmental economic organisation, made up of twenty two regular member Ports and Nine Associate members including landlocked Countries and Maritime Organisations, all located along the West Coast of the Africa Continent Stretching from Mauritania to Angola.
The Association was established during the historic inaugural Assembly of October 1972 in Freetown (Sierra Leone) by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
PMAWCA is a specialised organ of the Maritime organisation for West and Central Africa (MOWCA). The first statutes were signed by the representative of Nine (9) member ports and the Secretary General of ECA.
