Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority
Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) is embracing the future to provide the most efficient maritime services in West Africa. Our constant goal, therefore, is to be the best in West Africa by providing services at a very high level of efficiency.
With this in view, we are working on key development projects in Ghana’s main ports. The two ports of Tema and Takoradi have seen huge investment in state-of-the-art marine craft, mobile harbour cranes, post panamax gantry cranes and other handling equipment. This has led to fast and safe delivery of cargo, quick turnaround times for vessels and, ultimately, a reduction in the total cost of doing business.
The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has been awarded ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health And Safety System), forming the Integrated Management System with the assurance to transform its services for an increased performance.
